Best Interventional Radiologist in Mumbai

Vascular Interventional Radiologist Dr Tejas Dharia belongs to the not-so-huge group of medical professionals who always strive to work with their heart and mind. One of the key differentiating features of extraordinary medical practitioners is the passion for their science and concern for the welfare of their patients. He channels his astonishingly boundless energy into compassionate patient care.

With an uncanny ability to always make time available for his patients where none exists in his exceedingly busy schedule, he focuses on an ethically driven interventional radiology practice that is primarily aimed at patient comfort through reducing the need for extensive surgeries.

Interventional Radiologist Dr. Tejas completed his MBBS from the prestigious Seth G.S. Medical College and K.E.M. Hospital, Mumbai. While most of his colleagues contemplated whether to pursue medicine or surgery for higher education, Dr Tejas always wondered about the possibilities offered by technology-driven surgical procedures. He kept his thought process alive through his MD in Radio-Diagnosis from Dr. B. R. Ambedkar Medical College and Hospital, Bangalore and a fellowship in Body Imaging from Seth G.S.M.C. And K.E.M Hospital, Mumbai. The event that finally drove him to interventional radiology was his brother’s minimally invasive surgery for a pseudo-aneurysm of the splenic artery that was the result of pancreatitis. He was fascinated by his brother’s early recovery and reduced morbidity that couldn’t have been possible with conventional techniques. This led him to his decision to pursue interventional radiology, a science that allowed him to integrate technology in his medical practice to ensure speedier surgeries with less painful outcomes. After completing fellowships in Image-Guided Interventions and Interventional Radiology from Tata Memorial Hospital, Homi Bhabha National Institute, Mumbai, Dr Tejas has been into clinical practice that is primarily centred around Minimal Access Procedures.
His illustrious career includes a number of research projects, publications and national & international paper presentations.
